Aggravated burglary on Charlotte Street, Ballymoney

Detectives are appealing for information after an aggravated burglary in Ballymoney last night, Thursday 1st January.

Detective Inspector Ballentine said: “We received a report just after 11.40pm that a number of men had entered a residential property on Charlotte Street and attacked the occupant with unknown weapons.

"He sustained serious injuries including a number of suspected fractures and open wounds. He remains in hospital for treatment but, thankfully, the injuries aren't believed to be life-threatening at this time. 

“We are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the area. We would also like to hear from anyone who may have relevant CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage. The number to call is 101, quoting reference number 1607 01/01/26.”
