The Police Service of Northern Ireland can confirm this afternoon, Friday 21st November, the name of the man who sadly died following a two vehicle road traffic collision on the Windyhill Road, between Limavady and Coleraine, on Thursday 20th November.
He was 57-year-old David Elder from the Ballymoney area. Mr Elder sadly passed away at the scene of the collision which was reported shortly after 9.45am and involved a lorry and a white Peugeot Partner van.
Chief Inspector Celeste Simpson from the Collision Investigation Unit said:
“Collision Investigation Unit detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances of this collision.
"We are particularly keen to hear from persons who witnessed the collision or captured dash-cam footage which may assist with our enquiries. If you can assist please contact the Collision Investigation Unit on 101, quoting reference number 381 20/11/25.”
