THE Fannin, Hutchinson and Boyd medical practice operating out of Ballymoney Health Centre are to hand back their GP contact.

In a statement released on social media, earlier today (Friday April 26)  the practice said:

“Over the next few days our patients will receive a letter informing them of the intention of our practice to hand back our GP contract. It is with reluctance that we have come to this decision but the partners feel it is the time to do so.

“The Fannin, Hutchinson and Boyd practice will continue to provide normal GP services during the 6 month process ( which will take place from 1/5/24 to 31/10/24 )

“We are most hopeful of a successful outcome which will mean a more sustainable service to our patients going forward.

“There is NO need to change GP as you will still have a GP at the end of the process

“Please do not contact the practice (or our neighbouring practices) for more information as our staff are very busy dealing with the normal demands of practice

“If you have a query please direct it to the Strategic Planning and Performance Group on 02895362812. They will keep our patients up to date with developments.

”Thank you all for your understanding, our patients and their care are of the utmost importance to us

Ballymoney Family Practice, who also operate out of Ballymoney Health Centre, have also released a statement, which said:

"We are aware that our neighbouring practice, Fannin, Hutchinson, and Boyd, has handed back their GP contract.

“We want to reinforce the information provided by the Fannin, Hutchinson, and Boyd practice to their patients, that they should follow all advice and information being provided by their own practice at this time.

“Ballymoney Family Practice will continue to provide GP, MDT and all other associated services to all of our existing patients as per usual."
