'Never see the like of it' - Kirk Road pavement replacement completed in a few days

WORK on footpath widening and replacement project on the Kirk Road from Cloneen Drive down to the bypass, has proceeded at great speed this week to the relief of pedestrians and motorists alike.

“They dug the pavement and widened in on Wednesday, kerbed, stoned it on Thursday and tarred it on Friday,” said one local resident, who uses the road both as a pedestrian and motorist.

“I never seen the like of it,” he went on, “Kirk Road has been dug up that many times over the years with interference in traffic for weeks at a time! But not this time. Good job.”
