Stanley ‘gob-smacked’ to receive Queen’s award

BALLYMONEY man Stanley Lee has said that he was “gob-smacked” when he discovered that he had been awarded an MBE in the Queen's Birthday honours.

Retired school teacher Stanley has been working with Ballymoney Independent Gateway Club for 45 years providing activities for those with learning difficulties.

He received the award “for services to People with Learning Difficulties in Northern Ireland.”
