THE recent ‘Community Fun Day’ in the village of Dervock witnessed something that's been absent from the village in a while 'Community' spirit and 'Community' pride and togetherness. It was reminiscent of what Dervock was and can be again.

The Community 'Fun Day' was a joint venture to ‘Thank you the COMMUNITY for supporting your local ‘KK McArthur Festival of Running 2018’ - and to mark the 1st anniversary of the Pepper Mill, cafe opening.

Frankie Cunningham Chair of DADCA, added “I must thank the 'Trustees of the Mission Hall, Dervock for access to hall re power supply and access to car-park, the PIPs initiative (Community Development & Tourism), Dervock & District Community Association.

“Also Rev J Anderson and Select Vestry of St Colman Parish Church for loan of table/s. In concluding, I appreciate Mr Matthew Hagan contribution in financing aspects of the event - but lastly, the biggest accolade must go to you - the community of Dervock who supported this event - THANK YOU!!”
